Everything went very well. Alan Gibson was very punctual, professional, and helpful. He even followed up with us later on to see if we had any more questions.
During the process of moving to Columbus Area, ProCheck Engineering inspected two houses for us. Both inspections were thoroughly performed with very clear communication, explanations, and guidance on findings during the inspection and the final report. We enjoyed working with Alan Gibson (engineer and owner) during the second inspection. Inspectors arrived on time, and provided the final reports the same day. - We would use ProCheck again.
Alan was great to work with. He was thorough and explained the inspection process and findings clearly.
I used ProCheck Engineering when buying my first home. Alan Gibson was our inspector and did a fantastic job. Alan was thorough and when he came across any issue, he also offered a solution. The whole process was less overwhelming, thanks to Alan offering honest feedback about what was a "big" deal and what was an easy fix.
We actually had Alan inspect two houses for us. He helped us identify issues with one house that ended up being the best $350 we ever spent and saved us from going through with a potentially problematic sale. With both houses he inspected, he was always prompt, professional, thorough, and thoughtful. He gave great advice on what remedies to ask for right away and what to keep an eye on months and years down the road. His inspection reports were always emailed to us within the same day, and he walked through each report with us at the end of the inspection before emailing it out. The report formatting is also thoughtful and easy to understand, compared to other inspection companies we've worked with. If you're about to buy a house, these are the people you want inspecting it.
Our experience with Pro-check Engineering was AWESOME! We're the type of people who are super inquisitive and want to know exactly what to expect before we jump into things - especially with such a large, important decision such as buying a house. Alan Gibson went over and above to answer all of our questions, was absolutely thorough, and super friendly to us and our buying agent. He was not rushed and impersonal, but took his time, walking us through the inspection process while teaching us about the various systems in our house! We hope to use ProCheck again (if we end up removing our load-bearing wall) and have already recommended them to several friends who are about to enter the market. HIGHLY Recommended!!
My wife and I recently purchased our first home. We chose ProCheck over a few competitors based on recommendations, and couldn't be happier. Specifically, Alan Gibson was the inspector of our home. I wasn't sure how the actual inspection would work, but Alan made everything (major) known to me as he went through the home, and explained everything so I understood. In addition to that, the detailed report we received after the fact has been super helpful as we make some changes/upgrades to the house. While everything was professionally discussed, Alan was very personal and genuinely a great guy to talk to as well; he got along great with our dog and has been an awesome point of contact for questions we've had since the inspection (being very willing and available to do so). ProCheck doesn't offer termite inspection, but 100% handles the scheduling (and payment) of the inspection by a separate company, so you don't have to worry about it. Overall, the inspection was a great experience and we are very happy with everything that ProCheck provided and did/does.
We utilized ProCheck (Alan Gibson) primarily because we wanted an engineer to inspect an old property we were looking to buy. Alan provided in-depth understanding of the process they use to assess the condition of a building and brought up some major repair items related to structural integrity of the home. Good engineers are worth every penny and ProCheck gives you the professional support you need to make a timely decision...on time!
Alan from ProCheck was great!. He was very thorough and did a great job.
Alan with ProCheck Engineering completed our home inspection and was a pleasure to work with. We bought a 120 year old farmhouse so having the structural knowledge was crucial to the inspection. Alan took the time during the inspection to explain his notes to me, making sure that I understood what would be needed to correct any problems.
