Our Property Inspection Staff

The staff of ProCheck Engineering are people you can depend on. You may be wondering exactly who we are and what qualifications each inspector has.
Here is a brief rundown on our exceptional property inspection team:

Alan Gibson - commercial building inspector.

Alan Gibson, has a B.S. Met. Eng. from Ohio State and an M.S. Materials Science Engineering from Michigan State, as well as 2 years of PhD research. He is a member of ASHI®, has 25 years of engineering experience and has also developed 3 different engineering programs at local community colleges.

Mike Haines - home inspector.

Michael J. Haines, P.E.*, has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from The Ohio State University. He has over 35 years of experience in the construction industry in Columbus.

Chris Matthews - property inspector.

Chris Matthews, has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University. He is a member of ASHI® and has many years of experience in real estate, HVAC equipment and controls.

Bill Davis - home inspector.

Bill Davis, has a B.S. Mechanical Engineering and an MBA, both from The Ohio State University. He is a member of ASHI®, is a former Marine fighter pilot (A-6 Intruder) and is President of the Midstate Ohio Kart Club. He has a racing family, builds karts, and still loves to go fast!

Tre' Gaither - home inspector.

(Tre’) William L. Gaither III, P.E.*, has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. He has 17 years of civil engineering experience. He is the local district soccer referee administrator for the Ohio South State Referee Committee, the local Regional Advisory Member for the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Officials Association, and officiates all levels of soccer including youth, high school, college, amateur, and professional.

Sydney Hoy

Sydney Hoy – Office Manager
Sydney has a B.A. in Psychology from Ohio University, where she also minored in Spanish. Believes in Unicorns and claims she rode a dragon.

Jeff Bee – Office Staff
Jeff has a B.A. in Visual Art from Bethany College, where he minored in Computer Science.

*P.E. (Professional Engineer) is a professional license requiring at least 8 years of engineering education and experience and passage of a comprehensive, 16 hour entrance examination.

**ASHI is the American Society of Home Inspectors. Eligibility requires inspectors to have performed a minimum of 250 home inspections and passage of a comprehensive entrance examination.
